Lola had a Dream is a new children's book written and illustrated by acclaimed local artist Francessca O'Donnell who says the book "is dedicated to all those children who dare to dream, and those who believe in them".
The Hello Koalas sculpture "Lady Lola The Dancing Koala", created by Francessca, and resident at the Glasshouse Arts and Visitor Centre in Port Macquarie, has been the inspiration for this special book, published by Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail.
The story tells the journey of an unlikely little character (Lola, a koala). Lola was passionate to become a ballerina, despite being told “koalas don’t dance, they just eat gum leaves and sleep”. Lola’s journey tells of the power of belief and determination and the joy to be found when you follow your dreams.
Francessca is signing all her books and if you would like Francessca to inscribe the book to a special person who will receive the book, then please phone 0416 641 482 or email info@hellokoalas.com to register their name before the book is mailed to you.
